Men who consider
penile enlargement or penile enhancement to increase the length and/or girth of their penis often consider many options before they make their decision. These men ask themselves, “How can I make my penis girth bigger?” or “How can I make my penis longer?”
penile enlargement or penile enhancement to increase the length and/or girth of their penis often consider many options before they make their decision. These men ask themselves, “How can I make my penis girth bigger?” or “How can I make my penis longer?”
First, men consider whether they should pursue a non-invasive method or a surgical procedure. Within each of those categories, there are a lot of different options. The decision-making process for penile enlargement or penile enhancement can be daunting. We’re here to help! In this post, we discuss Hyaluronic Acid (HA) for penile girth enhancement or enlargement (i.e., how to add girth to the penis). The following information is for reference purposes only. Please consult a medical professional before making any decisions. Dr. Elist does not use Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in his practice for penis enlargement or penis enhancement, and he believes it is ineffective and can cause damage to patients. We provide this information as patients consider their options for making their penis larger.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a substance that is naturally occurring, but when used in medicine, according to WebMD, “it is extracted from rooster combs or made by bacteria in the laboratory” (click here to learn more).
While it comes in many forms, it is commonly marketed under the trade name Juvederm by Allergan. There are various types of Juvederm, and they are FDA approved for facial wrinkles and folds, lips, and cheeks. Juvederm (or any other dermal filler) is NOT approved for use in the penis, which means that testing information has not been submitted for its use in the penis. This is some text inside of a div block.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Is Temporary
According to FDA, it is considered an absorbable or temporary material (FDA Resource). In fact, “the effects of this material last approximately 6 – 12 months.” This means that patients who decide to pursue this route will often be required to go in for many treatments and even then, the effects are still temporary.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Fillers Are Associated With Several Side Effects In The Penis
As you can see in the photos of patients who have received injections of dermal fillers such as Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in the penis, the most common side effect is nodule formation, lumps, and bumps that happen as the gel filler becomes reabsorbed by the body. This side effect can cause the penis to look deformed and misshapen. Other side effects include pain, redness, swollenness, inflammation, and possible infection. The introduction of an injection in a complex organ such as the penis also introduces the possibility of puncture, which can cause severe and permanent damage to penis function.
HA Fillers Have No Effect On Penis Length
HA fillers may have a temporary (6-12 month) effect on penis girth only. The injection of the material in the penis is in no way designed to have any effect on penis length. Therefore, men who seek a bigger penis length or increases in penis length should seek other options.
