How To Get Rid Of A Smelly Groin
If you are experiencing any of the above conditions, you may want to see a doctor. Other ways to reduce smell in the groin area include:
- Bathing regularly with antibacterial soap and washing thoroughly between the folds of skin, particularly after working out.
- Ensure that the skin on the genitals are thoroughly wiped after urinating.
- The anus should be thoroughly cleaned after defecating.
- Clothing and underwear made of lighter textiles allow for ventilation. This does not mean that the garments have to be see-through. Some textiles contribute to the heat build up in the groin region.
- Trimming pubic hair, which can be a breeding ground for yeast.
- Try food remedies such as yogurt and plenty of water.
Some women try to douche or use a vaginal deodorant; these products increase irritation and smell. Panty liners can also prevent sweat from drying and cause odor.
