Painful Ejaculation Treatment - Part 2

How to Treat Painful Ejaculation

In a previous post we discussed a condition called painful ejaculation. Some men might experience pain when having an orgasm and/or semen emission causing them to be rather in pain than enjoy sexual satisfaction. Furthermore, we discussed the causes of pain symptomatic in the internal or external genital area after sexual encounters and ejaculation.Today, we would like to discuss the possible treatment options for pain upon ejaculating; in fact, painful ejaculation might be one of the most difficult complaints a man may experience as it usually poses itself very hard to diagnose and treat. Unfortunately, for some men ejaculations cause pain and negate the usual rush of pleasure and sexual gratification. The physical distress with painful ejaculation can then have a significant impact on a man's quality of life, negatively impacting self-esteem and reducing desire for sexual intercourse.

Treatment Steps & Causes

The first step in the treatment of painful ejaculation is the determination of the cause of the painful orgasm. Your treating physician will usually perform a medical examination and may obtain samples of urine or semen to be analyzed. After determination of the cause of the painful experience, the approach for the treatment of painful semen emission (painful ejaculation) will then be depending on its cause.

Inflammation

If the cause of the uncomfortable semen emission is an inflammation of the testicles, prostate or urethra, medication including anti-inflammatory and antibiotics will be considered. If sexually transmitted diseases are the cause of painful ejaculation, antimicrobial agents are a must in most of the cases.

Chronic Non-Bacterial Prostatitis

Chronic NonBacterial Prostatitis and Diet

One unique cause of pain after orgasm and ejaculation may be chronic non-bacterial prostatitis. This is rather an exclusion diagnosis, and may pose itself as hard to determine and treat. Dr. Elist has diagnosed and successfully treated many patients, young and old, with chronic non-bacterial prostatitis. In fact, one of his research studies exclusively reports about the treatment of chronic non-bacterial prostatitis as possible cause of perineal and genital pain, as well as painful ejaculation. Using a standardized formulation consisting of pure natural ingredients and compounds (with or without a combination therapy with antibiotics) Dr. Elist has successfully treated many men suffering from chronic non-bacterial prostatitis causing pain after orgasm and painful ejaculation.

Antidepressants

Painful ejaculation may also be a side effect of certain antidepressants. If this is the case, lowering the dose (with a doctor’s guidance) or changing the medication may help to reduce the discomfort after ejaculation.

Nerve Damage

The treatment of painful orgasm due to nerve damage (e.g. pelvis injuries) may take much longer than in any of the other cases. Men who have painful ejaculation due to nerve damage often find the situation improving as the nerve heals. This may take up to two years and may require the substitution of vitamins and other nerve regenerating agents. And last but not least, if the pain with ejaculation proves itself to be of psychosomatic nature, counseling with a therapist may be the best approach.
